CPU is termed as the brains of a computer as it is the main unit which performs arithmetic and logical operations.

CPU consist of Processor, RAM (random access memory), Motherboard, Hard-disk, CD-DVD reader/writer, Graphics card, LAN card, Sound card, PSU (power supply unit). Today's CPU can also contain parts like wireless cards (used to access WiFi), high end cooling systems like heat sinks, water based CPU coolers, and much more.
