I'm using the term networking chips for the chipsets used in a computer for all the networking like bluetooth, internet through cables (LAN, WAN), wifi, etc.
Computers come in so much importance, and one of the main reason is their connectivities. Computers can be used for different purposes, from making files to sharing them and much more.

LAN cards are directly placed in the motherboard of the computer and it is connected with the cable known as LAN cable, ethernet cable, also, CAT-5 and CAT-6 cables. CAT here means category and hence these cables can be said category-5 and category-6 cables. CAT-5 and CAT-6 cables are different in terms of their speeds and signal attenuation is much less in cat-6 cables. LAN cards are used to connect to LAN networks as well as WAN networks. LAN stands for Local Area Network and WAN stands for Wide Area Network. LAN is a term used for small networks such as a network within any neighbourhood or
within the same building, etc. WAN is a term used when the network is spread over thousands of kilometers or miles (network across globe).
These simple chips helps us to connect such networks.
